Our Statement of Faith
We Believe:
1. The Old and New Testament are the inspired Word of God. In these Testaments we find the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of men. The Divine purpose and final authority for all Christian faith and life can be found there.
2. In one God, Creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
3. That the Anointed Redeemer, Jesus the Christ, was truly God's Son manifest in human flesh. He lived and died to defeat sin, was raised from the dead for our justification, ascended into Heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of God, the Father. He is our advocate and High Priest.
4. That man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and thereby lost his position with God. Only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can Salvation and spiritual life be obtained. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation.
5. That water baptism and the Lord's Supper are covenant ordinances to be observed by the church during this present age. However, they are not to be regarded as the means of salvation.
6. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus. During this present age, He indwells guides, instructs, and empowers the believer for Godly living and service. Every believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
7. That every born-again believer should maintain a consistent life of prayer, praying both in the spirit and in the understanding.
8. That without faith, it is not possible to please God. That the Atonement provides for the whole man, spirit, mind and body. That salvation redeems man from the law and its curses of poverty, sickness. death and fear. That the Believer's life can be one of joy, peace, health, abundance and authority, as they walk out God's will for their life.
9. The true church is composed of all who, through the new birth, have received His cleansing and knitting into one spirit. Jesus Himself is the head of the church and He directs the affairs and governance of each individual part.
10. In the imminent, pre-millennial coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, this "blessed hope", empowers the life and service of the Believer to be one with His will.
11. In the resurrection of the dead who died in faith in His complete work, to everlasting joy in His presence. To the unbeliever, awaits eternal punishment and separation from God.
