The First Letter of John is an outward expression of the intimacy John had with the Word of Life. It's a letter that challenges us as believers to see if our speech or lifestyle provide evidence of the intimacy we have with the Word of Life. John knew in writing this letter that this intimacy is what makes our joy complete.
Synopsis: As we study the first chapter of 1 John we quickly learn our closeness with God is in direct correlation with how we abide in the Word. Walking in the light of the Word is how we have fellowship with God and one another.
Synopsis: We are able to love, because the Father poured out His love in our hearts. We are able to discern because of that love. We are able to learn because of that love.
